Evergreen: Nadine Strossen on Resisting Hate with Free Speech (not Censorship)

Last night I had the pleasure of dinner with one of my heroes, free speech champion Nadine Strossen (NYLS, ACLU).

I first met Nadine when she came to USAFA to give a talk to the cadets. (I was an assistant professor there from 2005-2008.) But our first real conversation was by Zoom in October 2020, about her book, Hate: Why We Should Resist It with Free Speech, Not Censorship, with a specific focus on content moderation in social media.

Given Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, and the renewed interest in this topic, the timing is just about perfect, so give it a listen if you haven’t already. And if you enjoy it, sharing is always appreciated, thanks!
