“Your Swamp, Or Mine?” (with Yaron Brook), TODAY at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT)

The GOP leadership orchestrated a vote on a 2,200-plus-page bill to fund the government (not really a budget?) to the tune of $1.3 trillion–within 48 hours of its release! Almost no one was able to read it before voting on it, and it’s doubtful Trump really knew what he was signing. Senator Rand Paul tweeted out over 600 pages of it, informing us of plenty of provisions that will, no doubt, encourage the proliferation of various swamp flora and fauna.

This raises the question:

There are a couple other issues in the news to which this question applies, unfortunately. See Program Notes, below, for all the stories, etc., I’ve lined up to discuss with Yaron.

The show will be broadcast live on BlogTalk Radio here and also via streaming video on Yaron’s YouTube Channel as well as on his show’s Facebook page here.

Bolton on Snowden/NSA (June 2013): “Who died and made him King?”

Just posted a clip from an interview I did with former UN Ambassador John Bolton on June 12, 2013. The clip focuses on Bolton’s evaluation of Snowden and the NSA programs Snowden revealed just weeks before this interview. It may give you some idea of what to expect from Bolton as National Security Advisor. In particular, Bolton values “democratic legitimacy” over individual judgement, and believes that foreign aggressors are a bigger danger to the United States than our own government.

Any help you can give me sharing this interview clip is greatly appreciated!

“Facebook, Cambridge Analytica, and the Need to Legalize Privacy,” TODAY at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT)

Facebook allowed users who installed an app to harvest data on 50 million people. The data was turned over to Cambridge Analytica, which used it for commercial and political purposes. Did Facebook do anything wrong? Anything for which it should be legally culpable? These questions and more on today’s show. See Program Notes, below, for all the stories, etc., I plan to discuss.
