The NYT can no longer deny that they and their cronies in the MSM and Washington, DC have failed to recreate America according to their preferred narratives.
But that doesn’t mean *our* sense of the nation has changed. It’s their sense of their power to mold our beliefs that has changed.
So, they conclude, if they’re failing to mold our beliefs—then Trump must be doing it!
They simply cannot fathom that we as individuals can think for ourselves, that we can demand the right to do so, and that this is why so many of us voted for Trump.
Their loss. (Pun intended.)
