If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!

Sports fans should never condone players that do not stand proud for their National Anthem or their Country. NFL should change policy!

Trump should have said players have a right to protest and fans have the right to boycott. That would have made it clear how he feels.
This issue brings back (fond?) memories of my childhood.
Thinking it was an unwarranted imposition to demand that I pretend to pray in class (yes, they did that sort of thing in those ancient days), recite the pledge of allegiance at the beginning of the school day and/or sing the national anthem at school assemblies: I refused. I just sat quietly and refused to stand or participate in these rituals. This was in public schools of the states of Maryland and later Oregon (ca. 1960).
Thinking back, I am a bit in awe at the righteous courage of my young self. The social pressure was intense. However, much to my present amazement, no one ever said a single word to me about my defiance of the norms. There was never a question or interrogation from a teacher. There wasn’t even a single nasty comment or bit of abuse from another student. They all just ignored me. (Except for one Jewish guy who, when he saw I was getting away with it, started refusing to participate in a similar manner.)
How the times have changed and changed much for the worse. I miss America. I miss it very much.
Some of us are still here, Craig. But there are so many of these messes… :/
You may still be living in a place where America used to be. However, America ceased to exist long ago.
