“International law has been forced to retreat over and over by the onslaught of legal nihilism,” the Russian president told the crowd. “Objectivity and justice have been sacrificed on the altar of political expediency. Arbitrary interpretations and biased assessments have replaced legal norms. At the same time, total control of the global mass media has made it possible when desired to portray white as black and black as white.” — Vladimir Putin

In this episode of the Lions of Liberty Podcast, host Marc Clair is joined by Udo Uflkotte, a former editor of the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeinne, and author of (translated from the German) “Bought Journalists: How Politicians, Intelligence, and High Finance Control German’s Mass Media.” Mr. Ulfkotte describes how he was first approached by German intelligence to become a journalist, and how his relationship with both German intelligence agencies and the CIA shaped the stories he would publish throughout his 30 year career.
